Hello,
I arrived home yesterday afternoon after ten days out of town to the sounds of simultaneous American Robin, Black-headed Grosbeak, and Western Tanager songs. I counted 7 Western Tanagers moving through the black locust trees in the yard between 5:30 and 7:00 pm, although if any of them were going in circles some would be repeats. The resident Anna's Hummingbirds were not pleased, and harassed some of them.
Today I saw a "new" duck species at the beaver pond at NE 108th and 8th Ave. NE, a pair of Gadwalls, which I haven't seen there before.
