Wasn't really sure if I was going to get out today, but I did get several hours of birding in before the weather changed to rain.
I started at the Mossyrock Dam viewpoint and day use area. I didn't expect alot but,
I found a HOUSE WREN right off the bat, on top of the dead brambles at the overlook singing away.
2 SWAINSON'S THRUSHES
1 TOWNSEND'S WARLBER
1 BAND-TAILED PIGEON
10 TURKEY VULTURES
1 WARBLING VIREO
1 RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER
2 BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK
3 CHIPPING SPARROWS were seen over by the power substation adjacent to the park.

Swofford Pond was really quiet. Here I had
1 WOOD DUCK
3 BUFFLEHEAD
2 SCRUB JAY

I then ventured out to Riffe Lake. Not alot going on. Here I had
1 HAIRY WOODPECKER
lots of swallows including many NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED
1 SAVANNAH SPARROW
6 KILLDEER including 2 younglings

By now the weather was changing, so I did some road exploring. I spent some time along Green Mountain Rd, Perkins Rd, Longbell Rd, Salmon Creek Rd, and Winston Creek Rd. Not much along any of these, except Longbell Rd. has a nice pond.

On the way home I made a quick stop at Lewis & Clark State Park. Here I had
2 BAND-TAILED PIGEON
4 HAIRY WOODPECKERS
3 PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATHCERS
1 WILSON'S WARBLER
