I have been hosting my first of the year male BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK on my
black sunflower feeder today. What a beautiful bird! My resident BAND-TAILED
PIGEONS did not quite know what to make out of the visitor eating their
food. Two of them finally managed to displace the Grosbeak. Also in my
backyard a couple of days ago, were two male WILSON'S WARBLERS. A pair of
WESTERN TANAGERS were across the street yesterday morning.
Treasure Island Park migrants seen in the last few days, include YELLOW
WARBLER, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER and BULLOCK'S ORIOLE. Also seen this morning
on Lake Jeane, was a pair of late LESSER SCAUP,
