Hello Tweets,
I am visiting a friend in Winthrop, and we are seeing finches on her mixed-seed feeder that have the coloring of (in her bird book, anyway, which has only photos and not much info) the common redpoll, except no black mask, and the legs are pinkish, not black. Bill is light, too. There is pale red on the rump, but the streaking on the chest is very faint and the red on the head is not extensive, and the bird is so light--not like at all like my house finches in Seattle.
Is this enough info for someone to take a guess? Cassin's? (Again, in this bird book, it doesn't look like their picture...too light on the chest and around the head.)
Thanks!
Patricia
