Tweeters,

This rainy weather seems to be making travel difficult for the
migrating Puget Sound Vaux's Swifts, who have been hunkered down in
Monroe's Frank Wagner Elementary School Chimney for the past few
days. Last nights count was over 5,000.

Observing the spectacle of this many birds in this small a space is
tricky in unsettled weather. The swifts time it to beat the rain,
rather than the sun, down. One could also observe them when they exit
in the AM. The last time I pulled a before sunup swift stakeout the
birds came out at 8:30 into a lovely sunny spring day.

Your results may vary.
