Subject: [Tweeters] Starling-proof feeders ???

The starling-proof feeders that Seattle Audubon's Nature Store has carried
work very well. They are basically a suet cage inside a larger cage, with a
solid bottom under the suet cage. Smaller birds enter readily, Flickers can
reach in with their long necks, but starlings seem unable to deal with the
design.

hi group ... we've taken our suet blocks down because we've been
overrun with starlings ... while searching online I noticed quite a
few "squirrel-proof and starling-proof" feeders ... feeders with
cages around the feeder ...

do they actually work for starlings ??? ... or is it sales hype ??? ...

thanks,
Lyn
