Right now (9:00 pm pdt) I have 4 Swainson's Thrush singing at my place
west of Olympia, and a 5th is calling. They first passed through here
on the 14th, and became resident a few days ago. They do favor the
alder swamp with its underlying swamp brush!

This afternoon, walking the 1.1-mile loop route on the McLane Creek
Nature Trail (off Delphi Road in Capitol S.F.) I saw 3 and heard 8
others.

This is such a delightful time of the year.
