The Bellingham waterfront is currently playing host to a large nesting colony of Caspian Terns, with as many as 300 pairs on site and very active.
All this is happening just a couple of blocks from downtown, and many folks aren't even aware, or don't care.
This is the second year for this site with two to three times more individuals than last year.
