Good to hear of the continued Caspian Tern Colony in Bellingham. At least this year it will be on O.S.U.'s radar screen and should receive a plane survey. This year I have seen none of last year's quantity of CATES around the Magnolia Peninsula, just singletons. Also none of the fish carrying behaviour remarked on last year. Wondering whether the latter behaviour had anything to do with the presence of larger numbers of Brown Pelicans on East Sand Island in the Columbia River.Were the fortunes of these two species related last year or perhaps this?
