I walked out my backdoor this afternoon and a pair of robins, flying fast
and yelling loudly came directly towards me, going under the overhang of my
upper deck, and finally crashing, one hitting my leg below the knee the
other crashing on the concrete right at my feet. Both birds had their beaks
open, and the feathers on their heads and neck were raised. The one that
hit my leg ended up sort of off balance half on my foot. The one on the
ground closed its beak, looked up at me, shook its head as if to
say...ooops! Then flew off, the second robin half on my foot launched after
it, both yelling their heads off as they continued their argument out of
view. I am not sure who was more surprised, the birds or me.
