Hello again Tweets,

Sorry for jumping the gun a little. The bird I saw very well could have
been an immature Mew or Ring-billed Gull. I still think I will venture out
later for a second look. If nothing else, it is a good excuse to go out and
enjoy a break in the rain!

Hi Larry,

You are probably right. Either one would make much more sense. I've got a
handle on the adults, but I admit that immature gulls are still quite a
problem for me.
