My attempt to be the last serious birder in Washington to see a Eurasian
Collared Dove in Washington came to an end this afternoon when one flew by
the back deck of my house in Battle Ground, Clark County. As a consolation,
I do have a new yard bird, county bird, and state bird! Other notables at
the house this week included:

American Bittern - flyby on Tuesday
Green Heron - flyby on Wednesday
White-breasted Nuthatch - heard this morning
Northern Rough-winged Swallow - this afternoon

My feeders have been hosting 10 Black-headed Grosbeaks and a record number
of hummingbirds - 5 Rufous and 2 Anna's.

No Black Swifts overhead though.........
