Hi Tweeters -

This evening we had five fledgling (just fledged) nuthatches. I am not sure if they are in our snag this year, but followed mom around from suet to sunflower seeds. Quite the little brood...

Also, saw one rufous hummer flash through - dining. Would any be nesting in the or only passing through? I've have two or three different Anna's. Vegetation so lush, there could be more.

A squirrel chased a spotted towhee a few times.

(I've gone into an aircast for my plantar fasciitis only 3 more weeks to go! At least I can do some walking - not enough. UGH! Thanks to all for your suggestions. I'm so thankful for the birds in my yard since I can't bird down at the fill or elsewhere.

Have a great 'owliday weekend!
