Greetings All,

I did a brief trip to the Nisqually area this AM. While the weather was not great, there was a good variety of birds about. The most interesting on the refuge included 16 Red Necked Phalaropes in 3 different groups. Plumage ranged from breeding/ crisp alternate females and males to at least one basic/ winter type plumage and everything in between. No Wilson's were seen today. On the other side of the Highway, at the beginning of Nisqually Cut-Off Road there were 2 Black Swifts overhead.

Cheers and good birding
