Hi Tweeters,

At 10:30 this morning, I had a non-Willow Flycatcher about 20 feet from the
deck of my house in Battle Ground, Clark County. I first noticed that it
had a complete eye ring with quite a bit of white extending to the bill
which gave the face of the bird a more contrasty look than a Willow. The
back of the bird was olive grayish but seemingly not as dark as a Willow and
the remainder of the upperparts were grayish. The undersides were
palish with no hint of yellowish. The bill was fairly short with noticeable
orange on the lower mandible. The primaries were short and the bird looked
quite small in all respects. A Willow Flycatcher was also in the area and I
noted the size difference, color difference, and lack of a noticeable
eyering. As soon as I realized that it wasn't a Willow Flycatcher (which I
see daily here), I ran in to get my camera. Of course, the bird was no
longer in a photographable location when i returned. I tentatively identifed
the flycatcher as a LEAST FLYCATCHER.

Also in the area this morning were three Yellow Warblers, one Western
Wood-Pewee, and one Lazuli Bunting. A medium sized shorebird flew overhead
which I wasn't able to identify and a single small duck also flew by but I
got on it too late.
