On Lower River Rd at 1:00 pm about two hundred yards from the Ridgefield NWR gate I found a female rose-breasted grosbeak. my view was good but only for about 5 sec. and then she flew over me and kept flying NE for quite awhile. The rest of the birding was somewhat slow with regular stuff, lots of tanagers and yellow warblers.
