Greetings,

Yesterday I took my dogs for a swim at Solo Point on Fort Lewis. I noticed a pair of Grebes working the shallow water along the gravel shoreline. As they approached I though one had caught a crab. It dove a few more times and had not swallowed the crab. Then I realized it was not a crab but a deformed bill. The pair headed South toward the Nisqually Refuge. Photo below.
