hi group ... while out doing errands made a detour to the flushing
channel on Vancouver Lake ... the fishermen population is down quite
a bit ... the DC Cormorant population is up quite a bit ... had about
15 plus of them in the channel ... plus two Western Grebes ... and
LOTS of crows overhead ...

the most interesting area however was the field across from the
flushing channel ... approximately 60 Snow Geese, 60 cacklers, 12 or
so Greater White-fronted Geese, and about 6 Sandhill Cranes were all
hanging out together ... I've never quite seen a group of that
variety that tightly packed ... not much feeding going on, just alot
of loafing ...
