Happened to get off the bus #5 near the Seattle Center today. Was walking just
north of 6th & Harrison when a Western Scrub Jay flew up off the ground with a
nut (acorn?) in it's beak. I watched as it flew a few trees over to the corner
and stopped on a wide branch. There it set the nut between it's toes and started
hammering away, finally getting to the sweet meat a few moments later. A very
nice viewing for a funky grey morning!
