On my way to California I often see Scrub Jays in southern Washington -
occasionally near Nisqually NWR. Last year I saw a Scrub Jay near McChord AFB.
Yesterday I saw one on 38th street in Tacoma just off South Tacoma Way going
toward Tacoma Mall. My son-in-law and I dropped our jaw! I've read that this
species seems to be on the move northward. My experiences are proving that this
northward movement is a fact.
