Hey Tweets!

I was out at the West Point Lighthouse this afternoon, looking over some grebes (Red-Necked, Horned and Western), when 8 little alcids went zipping through my field of view. I tried to follow them, and suddenly *sploop*... they were gone into the water! Looked and looked and didn't see them come up, but a couple of minutes later, they came flying by again - Ancient Murrelets! I lost them before I got to see another sploop, but it was fun getting to see them do it even once. Someone had described it as "dissolving" into the water - that works for me. I'm still giggling.
