This morning around 5:30 am (still very dark) when I was returning from walking the dog, I heard a rail-ish clacking in the woods behind my house. It continued and was soon joined some others. I followed it to the front and saw a hawk size bird (morphology also) that was soon joined by two others. They were circling each other in the air, all making this sound, which I have never heard before.... Any ideas?
