As a new birder, and one filled with excitement and discovery, I've
really enjoyed learning from more experienced birders via Tweeters.
It's nice to have this resource and be part of such a welcoming
community - a community full of intelligent and helpful folks always
willing to pass on what they know and help new birders.



I share this because posting to Tweeters can be very intimidating to new
birders, and to see this type of response to posts (like mine) about
correctly identifying my first Western Scrub Jay really discourages me
from participating. Perhaps Tweeters is only meant for the expert
birder?
