Where I live Scrub Jays are resident in large numbers. It is interesting to hear how they are expanding their territories or at least shifting areas due to food shortages and such. It reminds me of being in South America and seeing the birds migrate in different directions than I was used to. Also the migration from elevation to low lands. Keep up the reporting it is interesting to hear what is going on. I see the jays nearly every day driving around. But they are still one of my favorite birds in this part of the country.
