I really like the name oldsquaw, more colorful.. hidden meanings..interesting, than the sanitized long-tailed duck...

Message body
I used this bright sunny day (Nov 10thj) to sail solo around Bainbridge Island on my 10 meter French sloop, D?tour, and what a great experience it was! Of note were more than fifty Long-tailed ducks in three separate flocks about one mile south of Agate Pass Bridge. These ducks are amazing divers and have been recorded more than 200 feet deep!
