At 2:30 PM, two very vocal trumpeter swans flew over our house near Sequim, the first we've seen this winter. By the time I got my golden for a walk, they had joined another in the corn stubble between Pt. Williams and Schmuck Roads. Also in the field were 34 snow geese, about 800 cackling geese, 100 canada geese, 65 white-fronted geese, and a lone tundra swan (also the first spotted in this area this winter).
