Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 11. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Seaside PAINTED BUNTING continues to be see. On November 5 a female
BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER seen in the same area as the bunting. A male
RUSTY BLACKBIRD was seen November 5 in Tiller. The YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
seen last winter at the EE Wilson SWA returned and was seen there November
10. BLUE JAYS were reported during the week in Union, south of Burns, and at
Glendale north of Grants Pass. Out of range SCRUB-JAYS were reported from
south of Burns, Union, and at McNary Dam where a flock of 15 was seen.
On November 6 a probable MURPHY?S PETREL was seen off Boiler Bay. On
November 7 a MANX-TYPE SHEARWATER, over 2000 SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATERD, 300
RED PHALAROPES, over 1400 HEERMANN?S GULLS, 400 BROWN PELICANS and 90
KITTIWAKES were seen of Boiler Bay. Over 20 BROWN PELICANS and 50 HEERMANN?S
GULLS, and 50 RED PHALAROPES were at Coos Bay November 6.
On November 7 a TROPICAL KINGBIRD and a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW were at
Millicoma Marsh on Coos Bay. A MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE is now coming to a North
Bend feeder. A LAPLAND LONGSPUR was at Tierra del Mar November 6. On
November 10 a WHITE PELICAN was in Seaside. A dark phased FERRUGINOUS HAWK
was at Brownsmead November 6.
On November 6 a female REDSTART was in Eugene. GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES
were reported during the week from Marys Peak west of Philomath, and on
Pilot Butte in Bend. On November 5 a HARRIS?S SPARROW was near Sisters.
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS, PINE GROSBEAKS, and WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were seen
during the week east of Joseph.
