Sold the big lens so I was sitting by the open window with the little one thinking about the birds feeding and how much more they seem to be eating this year. My berries, except for the snowberries are gone. The sparrows are scratching everyplace. all the birds are hitting the scratch, suet and sunflower seeds with gusto. I had my first Varied Thrush, thus the reason for the camera. Anyway, while I was sitting there a Sharp-shinned Hawk flew in, grabbed a finch from the feeder and landed on the ground about ten feet from the window. Just barely got him all in even with the smaller lens.
