Adding to the recent discussion of Scrub-Jays, I just had my first Snohomish County record here in Stanwood in a tree at the intersection of 70nd Ave NW and Woodland Road. The Jay then flew south over the neighborhood towards Church Creek City Park. This is only about 3 miles from the Skagit Co. line where Skagit Co. only has a couple Scrub-Jay records I believe.
