Hi Tweeters,
Several days last week we observed large mixed flocks of American Robins and Varied Thrushes moving and feeding through the Arbutus menziesii along the shoreline on the SW end of Orcas Island near Deer Harbor. Saturday a Townsend?s Solitaire was also spotted eating the berries. Offshore near McConnell Island ~50 Pacific Loons were fin a feeding frenzy along with Marbled Murrelets, Mew, Bonaparte's and Glaucous-winged Gulls.
