I spent this morning checking some spots in Lewis County. The weather was indecisive on what it wanted to do. I had no slight breeze to major wind gusts and all in between. There were fits of rain, cloudy skies, and sun breaks. I started at the east end of Riffe Lake. Most birds have moved out, but still in the area were;
SNOW GOOSE - 1
GADWALL - 2
GREEN-WINGED TEAL - 30
HOODED MERGANSER - 6
COMMON MERGANSER - 3
HORNED GREBE - 3
WESTERN GREBE - 15
BALD EAGLE - 4
NORTHERN HARRIER - 1
RED-TAILED HAWK - 1
SPOTTED SANDPIPER - 1
CALIFORNIA GULL - 30+
VARIED THRUSH - 3

I made a quick stop on Temple Rd. in Morton where there were;
CACKLING GOOSE - 2
MEW GULL - 1
GREEN-WINGED TEAL - 5
TUNDRA SWAN - 11 (They were resting on the pond with their heads down, but one did lift its head, and from the quick look, it seemed to have a rounded head, not flat for Trumpeter.)

My last stop was at Mineral Lake, where I had;
RING-NECKED DUCK - 42
BUFFLEHEAD - 6
HOODED MERGANSER - 2
BALD EAGLE - 2
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW - 3
