Subject: [Tweeters] Fwd: petition to save Museo de Historia Natural-San
Date: Nov 19 12:36:00 2010
From: Dennis Paulson - dennispaulson at comcast.net

Hello, all.

Forwarded to me by Peter Wimberger, this is from AVECOL, the listserve dealing with museum collections of birds all over the world.

The petition expresses support for the largest natural history museum in Peru. It is slated to be demolished tomorrow with no plans for replacement. Please sign if you are so inclined, and send this to anyone else who you think might object to such a blow to the study of biology (including birds and dragonflies, of course) in Peru.

Thank you!

> AVECOL -- as Mauricio reported, the Museo in Lima is in jeopardy of being destroyed, literally, by the very university with which it is associated. It takes about 30 seconds to sign the online petition at the url below. Spread the word. Van Remsen
