Hi all...I got caught up in the snow drama out at the coast...it snowed the
entire time I was in Aberdeen on Sunday...but wanted to weigh in on the male
Anna's thread. I usually have two feeders hanging, one on the upstairs
north-east facing window and one on the downstairs south-west facing window,
but the downstairs window faces our coastal storms and swings wildly and
slings sugar water all over the window so I took it down until I remember to
replace it with the Perky Pet half-cylinder with the suction cup. I will do
that Monday as my resident adult male, Sparky, otherwise dominates the
feeder on the back window.

He cannot see the front window, so the two females and one immature male I
have seen trying to feed may get a chance to use the front one. When he
isn't actively feeding he perches either in the nearby redwood or another
tree close by to control "his" feeder. This freezing weather adds another
factor; I don't have an electrical outlet outside so usually rotate the
feeders in/out of the warm house, but I have to drive into Aberdeen each day
for 4-5 hrs for another week...maybe hand-warmers will help.
