Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Wednesday November 24. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 20 a YELLOW-BILLED LOON was on Tillamook Bay. A probable
SLATY-BACKED GULL was seen November 21 at the mouth of Hood River.

An unprecedented gathering of birds is now being seen in North Portland.
During the week a PARASITIC JAEGER, six SURF SCOTERS, eight WHITE-WINGED
SCOTERS, a TUFTED DUCK, a LONG-TAILED DUCK, and a RED-BREASTED MERGANSER,
along with many GREATER and LESSER SCAUP were on the Columbia River just
east of the I5 Bridge.

A heavy southward movement of loons and BROWN PELICANS is being reported
along the coast. A WHITE PELICAN was at Port Orford November 23. At
Tillamook Bay November 20 were many RED PHALAROPES and a MOCKINGBIRD.

A SNOW BUNTING is now being seen at Ridgefield NWR. A possible REDPOLL was
heard November 23 at Pittock Mansion in NW Portland. The PACIFIC LOON and
WHITE PELICAN continue to be seen at the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove.
A GREEN HERON was there November 23. Late RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS were seen
November 20 near Lebanon, Hillsboro November 22, and in Albany November 23.
A TURKEY VULTURE was near Roseburg November 18. On November 16 a male
WILLIAMSON?S SAPSUCKER was north of Kerby in Josephine County.

Up the three WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS are now at Cascade Locks. Two SURF SCOTERS
were on the Prineville Sewage Ponds November 21. A late OSPREY was in Bend
November 19. Two WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were in Klamath Falls November 22. On
November 18 a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER was on the LaGrande Sewage Ponds. On
November 22 eight BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were in Baker City.
