Just an FYI - this past May I came across more than one birding site in Texas?that specifically banned the playing of bird calls.? One of those sites was Houston Audubon's Smith Oaks Bird Sanctuary (at High Island), where this is on the posted rules at the entrance: "No bird calls allowed: Calls and loud conversations distress birds and birders."? I can certainly attest to the last part of that thought.
