Tweets,

I don't keep up with posts regularly enough, so forgive me if this NWR
report is redundant.

Sunday was a great day on the refuge. Our most fun sighting would
have made a nice photo: a beautiful Great Egret, a Northern Shrike
and a Western Meadowlark, all in close proximity to each other, with
the shrike and meadowlark flying back and forth across the trail.

Several Bald Eagles, one American Kestrel, Great Blue Herons, Ruby-
Crowned and Golden-Crowned Kinglets, abundant numbers of Green-winged
Teals, Northern Pintails, American Wigeon, one Red-breasted Sapsucker,
were also found. Other birds were seen as well; just wished to note
some of the highlights.

Although we didn't see this bird ourselves, a Tree Swallow had been
reported at the visitor's center earlier that day or the day before.

good birding,
