Hi Tweets,

Last night the leaden gray clouds came in and dropped all the way to the deck of Lake Chelan, along with more snow. Total inches around the lake are now in the 4-6" range.

Since going up to the Waterville Plateau to bird wasn't in the cards, we pulled out the cross-country skis and toured Wapato Point Resort near the town of Manson. At the end of the point, we found a flock of 80 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS. We also saw them in the set of trees near the miniature golf course.

Along the lake shore between Manson and Chelan is a large flock of waterfowl:
100 Lesser Scaup
6 REDHEAD
30 Ring-necked Duck
12 Horned Grebe
20 Bufflehead
200 American Coot

Good Birding,
