Evenin' tweets,

Just back from a quick trip to Hart's Pass. Northern Hawk Owl seen on
Wednesday evening from the Meadows Campground. First observed from the
astronomy pad. Bird was very cooperative, remaining perched for long
periods of time in the tops of the burned snags. Did not see it the
following day. However the passage of numerous diurnal raptors: golden
eagles, sharpies, redtails made up for the owl's absence. The larch
and blueberry display along the Pacific Crest trail to Grasshopper
Pass was stunning.

Cheer,
