Subject: [Tweeters] 1st of October, 1st Varied Thrush of the fall

I heard my first Varied Thrush of the fall today, 2 October. Like the weather today, that definitely seems to foretell the winter. A bunch of juncos arrived a few days ago. A Swainson's Thrush was bathing in the fountain on 30 September, must be about the end of their migration.
