I missed most of the show but saw about 15 of about 40 Turkey Vultures that spiraled up and flew off sw. My coworkers asked me about these big birds that did not flap their wings that they had just seen when I joined them late for a break.

Then as I was composing this I got to enjoy a short-lived but documented rare bird for the location at the salmon pond. An American Dipper paid a short visit. Got a few documentary digital photos, an excuse now to see if my new computer can handle pics better than the last. Maybe it will visit the fill. Last year someone up in BC had photos of a dipper visiting a zoo beluga whale pond so I guess you just never know.
