Subject: [Tweeters] Annas courtship

I might stating the obvious here but we are currently undergoing what is
called "false spring".
Photoperiods are the same now as they are in spring when courtship
begins and we always get a pulse of breeding activity among a wide variety
of bird species at this time. Starlings copulating, Red-tails courting,
Red-winged Blackbirds displaying, Annas zipping around, stuff like that.
Happens every year and it will be over soon as we slowly head towards winter
and the days get shorter and shorter.

And forgive me if everyone knows this already. I was just considering those
who might be new to birding....
