Tweets,

Yesterday, Oct. 10, a flock of roughly 200 Violet-green Swallows swarmed
over our hayfield and along upper Scatter Creek. This follows a typical
annual pattern here of large flocks of VGs moving through in early October,
several weeks after most of the summer-long VGs have disappeared. I expect
this was the last we'll see of them for five months. The same afternoon, we
heard and then saw our first local flock of Cackling Geese, roughly 60-70
birds passing over the same area the swallows just vacated.

Good birding, Bob
