At 9:00 this morning seven swans flew very low and silently through the misty remnants of morning fog over the Sunset Mall in Bellingham. Low enough to catch my eye as I walked across the parking lot. With no binoculars (me) and no vocalizations (the swans), I can only guess they were probably Trumpeters. My first swans of the season. A lovely way to start the day.
