Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday October 14. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On October 13 a male BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER was photographed at
Diamond.

A major WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE migration passed through Central Oregon the
night of October 10-11. There were several reports of WHITE-THROATED
SPARROWS and EURASIAN WIGEON during the week.

On October 8 a PALM WARBLER was seen near Brookings. Another was at Yaquina
Bay October 10. On October 13 an AVOCET was on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A
TROPICAL KINGBIRD was seen October 7 in northeast Newport.

A WILLET was at Ridgefield NWR October 9. The next day an AVOCET was on the
refuge. On October 13 a ROSS?S GOOSE was among a goose flock at Parklane
Park in southeast Portland. A flock of 16 LINCOLN SPARROWS was seen October
8 at the Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove. A GRAY-HEADED JUNCO was reported
October 11 near Lebanon. On October 12 a MOCKINGBIRD was near Junction City.

On October 9 a CLARK?S GREBE, a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, and three SURF SCOTERS
were at the mouth of Hood River. That day a RUFF was seen at Cold Springs
NWR near Hermiston. A late BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD was near Sisters
October 11. A PARASITIC JAEGER was seen October 9 at Hatfield Lake near
Bend. A SURF SCOTER was at Hatfield Lake October 13.
