Hi Tweets,

My father is coming into town this weekend and we are going to be spending some time in the greater Seattle area and then on the Olympic Peninsula. We'd love to do some birding together and I was hoping to get some information/recommendations from the local birding crowd on the following two topics:

1. Are there currently any Ruff/Sharp-tailed Sandpipers/other interesting shorebirds being seen within an hour or two of Seattle at this time?

2. Does anyone have particular tips for places to hit up on the Olympic peninsula? We'll probably be looping over the northern end, stopping by Dungeness Spit, and then moving down the coast towards Ocean Shores.

Any information on specific spots to try would be most appreciated. I can be easily contacted at the following email address. Thanks!
