This sighting from only ten minutes ago (9:15 AM)?- a Parasitic Jaeger relentlessly harassing Gulls in the Rosario Strait, seen from the west shore of Lummi Island.? There are much greater numbers of Gulls in the strait today - hundreds instead of a few or a dozen.? Over the past few days there has been a distinct upswing in the bird numbers here; especially Red-throated and Common Loons and Surf Scoters; also a few Grebes (a sprinkling of Red-necked, Horned, and Western) and the usual Pelagic Cormorants.? It is another stunningly beautiful, clear day.
