A juvenile Cooper's hawk spent half an hour in my yard, mostly
loafing and occasionally interacting with a squirrel. The squirrel
was entirely interested in foraging and twice barged up to and past
the hawk in order to get fruit. The hawk reacted by standing very
tall and lifting the wings into a fully spread and vertical position,
which did not stop the squirrel. So the hawk had to leap into the air
and land several feet down the fence.

I did get a good look at the bands while all of this was going on:
Right leg = single silver band. Left leg = double blue band: top-4,
bottom-A.
