Did you look at Harry Nehls's report of the staggering list of birds passing in review on Oct. 24th ? over 8,000 Red Phalaropes, 8,500 Fulmars, a Cook's-type petrel, over 1,400 Leach's Storm Petrels, 200 Kittiwakes- -For most of us, seeing just one of those birds and adding it to our life list is a momentous occasion--I wouldn't even know how to count this many-- and as for the rare Cook's-type petrel....doesn't migration simply beat the band!!!!!
