Thanks to Randy for pointing out the Ruff and Stilt Sandpiper when Jerry and Nathan Swena and I arrived at the game range this afternoon.? There were more Red-necked Phalaropes than you could shake a stick at on the coast today.? We also had a Semi-palmated Sandpiper and 1 Sharp-tailed Sandpiper.? There was also 1 very nice Bar-tailed Godwit still in partial breeding plumage at Tokeland.? He was very easy to pick out from the Marbled Godwits this time of year.? We had a total of 17 species of shorebirds for the day.? The numbers of birds is way down but still seem to be good numbers of species passing through.? We didn't try for any rocky type sandpipers or at Bottle Beech due to tides and time constraints.?
