Hello Tweeters,
Spend yesterday all day from 9.00 AM to late as 8.00 PM on the coast.Running
in to Greg and Dianna few other birders ,still looking for the Ruff
As we enter the game range it looked quite, but it heated up with many flocks
of peeps swirling around. We spotted the Ruff who was vigorous feeding ,as
the Hudsonian was,and since the report mention a weather change more likely
this bird flying south.Even so I been seeing many Ruffs in
all kind of different plumage's,this still was a great bird to see
As the time went the FALCON made his appearance as in the past, get the birds
all nervous scatter all over the place. We was not sure if he got a prey.

Birds still around where:
Juvenile Ruff 1
Stilt Sandpipers 2
Pectoral 6 birds, one bird with a nice red cap,
Red-necked Phalarope 6
Bairds Sandpipers 4
Western Sandpipers ,many
Least Sandpiper,many .
Pacific Golden Plover 1 in a distance.
Peregrine Falcon 1
Northern Harrier 2 Male & Female,

Midway Beach, was deserted,we walked way to the right making the loop to the
beach. There was hundreds of Gulls on the beach, away from the water
On the way back from Tokeland ,I was alone an d walked even futher on
Midway beach( by than it got dark) there where12 Phalaropes on the ponds

Tokeland was great It had three groups of Marbled Godwit's right in the
Marina with 23 Willet mix in.No BAR-TAILED GODWIT was sighted
Also on the edge of the water by the poles where 1 Whimbrel. On the private
walkway to the Jetty,I had 1 PIPIT & Brewers & Red-winged Blackbirds

It seems that NEW BIRDS coming in every day now,

Good Birding Ruth Sullivan
